Privacy policy

Last updated: 8 October 2026

Simulant Labs is one person making audio plugins. This policy says what personal data is involved when you use this website or buy and use the software. The short version: as little as possible.

This website

This website uses no analytics, no advertising trackers and no cookies of its own.

  • Hosting. Like any website, the hosting provider's servers receive your IP address and browser details when you load a page, and may keep them briefly in logs for security and operation.
  • Video. The demo video is hosted by YouTube. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press Play. After that, YouTube's own privacy policy applies to the player.
  • Checkout. When you open the checkout, it loads from Lemon Squeezy. See the next section.

When you buy

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which is the merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy collects what is needed to take payment and handle tax: your name, email address, billing country or address, and payment details. Simulant Labs never sees or stores your card details.

Simulant Labs can see the order records in its Lemon Squeezy account: your name, email address, country, what you bought, and your licence key. These are used to deliver your licence, to answer support requests, and to meet accounting and tax obligations.

Lemon Squeezy's handling of your data is described in its own privacy policy.

Licence activation

When you activate the software, it contacts Lemon Squeezy's licence service with your licence key to check that the licence is valid. That happens once per computer.

The software does not collect or send your audio, your projects, or information about how you use it.

Email

Your email address is used to deliver your licence, to answer you when you write, and for important notices about a product you bought, such as a critical update. Simulant Labs does not send marketing email unless you have asked for it.

If you write to Simulant Labs, your message and address are kept as long as needed to deal with your request.

No selling of data

Simulant Labs does not sell, rent or trade your personal data.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal data held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or ask how it is used. Some purchase records have to be kept for tax and accounting reasons. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law, including the right to complain to a data protection authority.

Changes

This policy may be updated. The date at the top shows the latest version.
